Zam-Sushi (A horrible play on words…)

This project is an interesting challenge, not only in the shape, but in what to convey? What kind of product would be well served on the side of a machine infront of hundreds of fans who are all sitting in an ice cold room? In my case I thought of a sushi considering the way it is served and the shape resembling the zamboni. I wanted to do a design that didn’t use people at all this time around for a fun change of pace and an added challenge. Sorry about the rough quality of the image, though this is the rough stage, anyway the idea is to promote the restaurant “Kabuto” by wrapping the zamboni with the image of a piece of Nigiri Sushi being dipped in soy sauce. (bold is fun.)

I should note, this design will be “painted” similarly to the St. Louis Ram’s piece, but with a smoother texture and more detail.

  1. Ooh, I like this concept. Simple, but not simplistic. It leaves an impression by turning the vehicle into something else entirely. I’d like to see how this works out.

  2. Yeah, I think this is a great concept! Love that you have transformed the zamboni into a piece of Nigiri. Is it Salmon or Tuna? Cant wait to see the finished product!

too funny- I like that you really took time to think about what you could really advertise well (besides beer or s/t) in a cold environment- :)

  4. I have no clue what Nigiri is or looks like so you’re on your own there. Good idea though. Oh, and it’s “thousands”, not “hundreds.”
